Contraindications:

​

Current major somatic disorders or health conditions (Injuries/ Genetic diseases/ Infections/ Endocrine disorders) – in acute period.

​

Pacemaker and heart ailments - *massaging the neck area can cause irregular heart and breathing rhythm. Please check with your GP before treatment.

​

Head injuries/Surgery/Dentistry/Implants (last 6 months).

​

Any infections or inflammations - *massage can spread inflammation.

​

Sinus/Throat/Ear problems or infections (last month).

​

Cancer in neck/chest/head/face area. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy. - *massage increases the blood flow and can provoke the tumour’s growth.

​

Allergic reactions to creams/oils.

​

Epilepsy - *massage can provoke seizures.

​

Nervous diseases (Clinical depression/ Psychosis/ Neurosis/etc) – *if client does not take any treatment.

​

Drugs/Alcohol

​

Pregnancy (first trimester) – *the placenta must form first.

​

Eye issues: Glaucoma / Cataract / Corneal transplant

​

  Health conditions:  

​

​

Any skin damage (injury, burn, Eczema, Psoriasis, Herpes - currently active).

​

Any current/active skin infection (acne/ active blackheads (Camedones)/ pimples (furuncles)/ etc).

​

Systemic autoimmune disorders (Alopecia/ Lupus erythematosus SLE/ Scleroderma) – *avoid damaging skin which may be thin and fragile

​

Issues in mouth area (Any infections/ dry mouth/ etc). Dentistry/Implants (last 6 months) - *massage can spread inflammation.

​

Facial nerve pain (Neuritis).

​

  Skin issues:

Thread lift - *massage can damage the thread.

​

Facial implants, injectable dermal fillers – *to avoid damaging, displacement or absorption of fillers/ implants.

​

Biorevitalization, mesotherapy – the massage can be done 1-3 weeks after the procedure to allow the skin time to heal properly.

​

Botulotoxin injections - Splitmassage promotes the excretion of the Botox preparation so massage can be provided 2 weeks after the procedure, avoiding injection area.

​
